That Lonely Hunch
Sara Turner
In a morning with no dawn…
I walk on and on
with no place to go
only with the hope that this is leading me
somewhere
I don’t care.
As long as it’s to her
A desperate man can’t hope for much
With just a hunch
And a gun he hates to touch
A boy sidekick can’t promise much
On just that lonely hunch
And the courage he wants to clutch
Yet he follows and leads
Through this dream we share
With a rusty chainsaw
He doesn’t know how to bear
As I try to kill
The role he and one other
Have been cursed to fulfill
So, as the night still calls
Around this town, Campbell Falls
I try to find who took her
My only sister
